How Screen Printing is Quoted and What Affects Your Final Cost:

 

Quality, service, control, design, buying power of printer, overhead

 

Below are available options when shopping a job:

 

Option 1. "Promo" company. Usually a one person operation doing this as a second income. Seeks out absolute lowest cost 2nd party screenprinter and lightweight low quality garment to maximize their profit. NO control over production, little or no control over design, low overhead. May or may not translate into a lower cost to you. Several people/companies are getting paid in this case.

Option 2. Large screenprinter promo company. High overhead, multiple employees, buying power. Your final cost is affected by sales commission, production, overhead, profit, art department, etc. Volume sales leaves little room for personal attention. Most customers tell us they could not get help, no returned calls, etc. This is mainly due to the need of making a large profit to sustain business. If you are ordering less than 500 shirts, they are not really interested.

Option 3. Xpressions. We own our building, we do our own artwork and design, we embellish the garments, we have the buying power of a larger company. In house we cover sales, art, digitizing, accounting, and production. We never outsource any portion of your job. Yes, the owner prints your shirts. (I don't really want to print the shirts but I do not trust anyone else to maintain quality) We have strict control over quality, design and deadlines. We have NEVER missed a deadline in 10 years of business. Our overhead is extremely low, with three employees we still manage a production level of over 30,000 shirts per year with our "bread and butter" being orders of 50 - 300. There are no minimums with us. There are no "middle men", "no one doing nothing getting paid around here!" The savings and personal attention back to our customers, to you, is FREE!
